1.  Black pudding and tomatoes for breakfast:  thumbs down on the first!
2. Full Irish Breakfast includes black and white pudding:  white being vegetarian.
3.  Galway shopping mall that preserved the city walls within its setting
4.  The hooker ships were Irish fishing ships and are memorialized in this sculpture and in a local beer name.

7. One of many gorgeous icons within the church.  This church was huge:  added onto by dueling families several times trying to "keep up with the Jones"

10. Pat met this fella because someone heard us say we were from Wis. and he has a girlfriend in Jefferson and he brought us over to sit front and center by the musicians.

Prendergast Visit

Pat and I spent a delightful evening with  Colin, Samuel and Hazel Prendergast in Derry.  Colin is a 4th cousin of mine and we connected by way of some emails to his sister, Laura, and his parents:  Peter and Madeleine.  Samuel is collecting US state quarters and is down to three:  Pat had a New Mexico one in her pocket that reduced it from 4.  I will be scouting quarters when I return.  It was very fun to meet them and enjoy an evening visiting and also skype visit with Peter and Madeleine whom we will meet up with in Waterford.
